WhiskyAngelz: Building the Best Whisky Podcast for a New Generation of Dram Lovers

We’re building WhiskyAngelz to be the best whisky podcast for dram lovers, whisky wanderers, and flavour-chasing fanatics everywhere. Hosted by director and whisky obsessive Magnus Wake, every episode is a carefully crafted mix of insight, humour, and top-shelf tasting. Think of it as your favourite whisky bar, comedy club, and late-night chat rolled into one — just with better sound and fewer bar mats.

Each episode pairs three key elements: a whisky expert who knows their stuff (and more importantly, how to make it fun), a celebrity or comedian guest to keep things spicy, and our in-house tech sidekick keeping it all on track — or at least trying to. It’s a recipe for unpredictable stories, surprising sips, and a hell of a good time.

The Best Whisky Podcast

OK, we know — “best whisky podcast” is a bold claim. But we’re going big because whisky deserves big. The same way a great dram delivers depth, character, and a long finish, we’re crafting a show that offers something you’ll come back to again and again. This is about more than whisky tasting — it’s about whisky storytelling.

Expect regular features like:

  • Dram Dynasty – where our expert gives us their top three all-time favourite whiskies in 60 seconds flat.
  • Neat or Not? – a blind taste test where guests have to figure out which dram is the posh pour and which one’s a budget bottle. Spoiler: they usually get it hilariously wrong.
  • The Angel’s Share Confessions – where guests (and listeners) confess their most outrageous whisky-related sins and slip-ups.
  • Desert Island Dram – the ultimate test: one bottle, one island, no going back.

Alongside that, every episode includes a real whisky tasting, often a new or under-the-radar release, chosen for its story, flavour profile, or regional character. From the peaty shores of Islay to the floral fields of the Lowlands, we’re covering the whole map — one bottle at a time.

A Multimedia Experience for Whisky Fans

What sets WhiskyAngelz apart — and what earns us our shot at being the best whisky podcast — is that we’re not just talking. We’re filming, tasting, laughing, and building a community. We’re launching the podcast alongside a full video cast on YouTube, exclusive bonus content for our Patreon members, and eventually even live streamed recordings and whisky tasting events.

We’re here for the whisky newbie and the dram veteran. Whether you’re just discovering what peated means, or you’re the kind of person who casually name-drops cask numbers, there’s a seat at the bar for you.

More Than a Podcast: A Whisky Movement

Ultimately, WhiskyAngelz isn’t just about listening to a few folk talk whisky. We’re building a brand. A movement. A place where whisky culture lives and breathes — with live shows, awards, limited edition bottlings, and maybe even our own dram one day.

We want to champion the people behind the barrels, explore the cultural threads of whisky around the world, and celebrate the joy, weirdness, and ritual of it all. This is about connecting whisky lovers through shared stories and bold opinions — and having a damn good time doing it.

If you’re looking for a fresh, funny, and flavour-packed take on whisky culture — one that blends authenticity, absurdity, and actual good taste — you’ve found your dram. Subscribe, sip, and settle in.

WhiskyAngelz: the best whisky podcast you didn’t know you needed — until now.
